Task 8:  “A very short story” – Due Oct. 21st, 2010


a)      Watch this 8-minute video on the structure of a fictional piece:

As you watch the video, take notes of Kyle´s categories.  You will use them to analyze the story.


b) Read “A very short story” by Ernest Hemingway. It may be found here:

Your task is to analyze the short story by Hemingway taking into account Kyle’s categories (such as (“inciting incidents”, complications , climax, and others) presented in the video above.

Write your analysis as a short essay, with an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion.  Print it and turn it in on Oct. 21^st.
